The Many Faces of a Drum Circle - A Facilitators Guide. The drum circle in North America has evolved from the unstructured free spirited, even rebellious, sessions of the "beatnik" movement of the 1950's. This course is inspired by and informed by all that has gone before. However, it's focus is very much on the mechanics of facilitating a circle, and not the philosophies and histories of using the drum in therapeutic settings. As a facilitator you nurture and support people to take opportunities that they might not otherwise see or take, to guide them into spiritual and rhythmical places that they might not otherwise go. To push the group group past their perceived limitations. Ultimately you are there to make whatever they need to get from the experience of the circle...easy. This workshop and guide are made to make your experience of facilitation...easy.
“The Creator wants us to drum. He wants us to corrupt the world with drum, dance and chants. After all, we have already corrupted the world with power and greed....which hasn't gotten us anywhere - now's the time to corrupt the world with drum, dance and chants.”
